Mace or Hammer?

I'd been using hammer since lv20. I don't have the money to try mace and upgrade it to the same lvl as my hammer. Are there any visible differences and which one u prefer?

hammers do 3times the damage of maces and are only .3 seconds slower

Mace: 1 attack per 1.1 sec
Hammer: 1 attack per 1.3 sec.

Hammer dmg = 1.4 ~ 1.5 times mace dmg

With all respect: why the hell do we need mace ?

I was thinking of trying mace because theres some different attack skills for cleric that are specifically for mace and hammer later on. I haven't reach those levels yet to test them. Just wondering if anyone did and will share experiences.

hehe i used hammer up till lvl 42 then switched to mace for better accuracy hammers miss miss in pve and pvp but thats jus my 2 cents stay hammer please i wish to be the only mace cleric in CB2
