Tank for PvP

OK, so I had this bizzare idea to make my tanker a PvP build. Not the cheapest (or most logical) route but that is why I wanted to do it... just because! So, nice lvl 60 shield, lvl 55 blues (full dim set) and my old lvl 50 sword are all +9. Def is 1,200 without scrolls or cookies. With scrolls and cookie it tops 1,700. Base magic def is around 550 I think (have two +9 rings that are +45 MDef each). So I hit the lvl 50 abyss where I typically got abused by PKrs and find a lvl 43 fighter who wants an 'escort'. Sure enough he gets jumped by a full crit axe wielder. He and I square off... after about 10 hits I have to use an HP stone. He keeps swinging with all he has, I use another stone. After about a minute he gets frustrated and wants me to drop my shield... like hell. He forgets to keep an eye on his HP: vamp strike and down he goes. His mage friend launches a string of spells at me and notices my HP only drops about 30%, I tap an hp stone. He backs way off and says 'oops, sorry about that... wrong target'. Yeah, I think this is going to be a fun experiment!

AH - it gets better!!! I just bought a lvl 60 1hd sword that is +10 with +30 END and +28 STR... I almost jumped when I saw it. I am now 'learning' how to PvP in the lvl 50 Abyss (Bijou, look for Alex). So far I have gone against several good axe wielders and a mage, all with +9 or +10 wpns. Uhmmm - not one loss. First episode with new sword was with three kids who were making fun of the 'fail tank' who was in 'their' abyss. First one died three times before cussing at me and demanding I drop my shield. Fat chance. I must admit they were good sports because they didn't rush me all at once - if they had I would have cookie'd and really had some fun! Question is, now what?

maybe lvl and see how far u get at like 80+

LVL 80+?!? Are you kidding? It takes me weeks to lvl up these days (not enough hours in the day). Besides, I am now semi-retired... WoW is much cheaper and more fun to play. I did run into an Axe wielder (full crit SC items, +10 axe, lvl 66, etc) who killed me so I can't claim king of the Abyss anymore. A mage also took me down by chain casting remove buff (took down my toughness and T3 MDef) then feared me so I couldn't get them back up and frost-nova'd when I went to stun her. Always someone bigger in the game I guess.
BTW, I spent about $50 in Spark Cash to get my lvl 60 gear enhanced and I am guessing it would cost twice that to enhance lvl 80 gear unless I have a cool 150 Gold on hand (which I don't). I'll spend my Fiesta time helping out friends and guild-mates... going past lvl 70 appears to be just a lot more grinding without much thought to end-game content. (my 2 cents anyway)

Mages are probably fighter's natural enemy class, the base M Def of a fighter is so poor, and you cant +9 that in a gear.. (though you can get it in jewelleries now which helps)

You did well as a 1H fighter though, I didn't think their dmg was good enough to kill xD What's with people asking you to drop your shield? Why don't they just tell you to go naked against them? LOL

You should be able to find some CC parties to level.. if you can tank and you got a good enough cleric (don't even need to be an awesome cleric, coz u won't die that quickly) your party should get through quite easily...

nyea WoW is way better lol but i just got banned like 15min ago cuz
a fail GM couldnt kill me in a duel cuz i just sat there and healed and
he sed my acc was glitched or somthing dced me and now i cant even log in

Your WoW acct or Fiesta acct? I can't imagine a WoW GM trying to duel with anyone - they are VERY restricted on what they are allowed to do (other than answer questions and help players out). Fiesta GM, well, maybe they aren't even paying min wage anymore and you got a fail newb!
