Mnet Countdown is.... not really legitimate.
Ahaha.
They only count the votes of people who go on their show. So if you don't perform that day, then you can't win.
In order of importance of wins, it goes like this:
Music Bank
Inkigayo
...
...
...
Mnet Countdown
I think part of the reason is that Mnet Countdown is on Mnet, which is a cable channel while Music Bank (KBS), Music Core (MBC), and Inkigayo (SBS) are cable channels.
But Music Bank is really the important one. When people say you won Music Bank, they can also say something like, "You won the K-Chart for the past week."
K-chart=Korean chart
Inkigayo is also rigged too because you can only win a maximum of three weeks. After you've won three times, you can't win anymore. Also, it's lagged a week. So you'll have someone win on MuBank one week and not Inkigayo, and then the next week, you'll have someone win on Inkigayo but not MuBank. Inkigayo also doesn't really have a "K-chart," they just have a Take 7, which is the highest 7 songs for that week.
Also, Inkigayo requires the artist to actively promote their song in order to win. So in theory, an OST or something can win on MuBank but it wouldn't even be in the Take 7 on Inkigayo.
