Earth Hour

Curious if anyone is taking part in the Earth Hour thing. We're gonna flip the main breaker and break out the oil lamps and just hang out or play Yahtzee or something for a few hours here. My household is already pretty energy conservative as a rule, but hey, it's a good chance for family bonding if nothing else.

I don't think it actually makes a big difference to be honest, but I think it's supposed to be more of a way to raise awareness or whatever than it is actually about the energy saved during the hour. Can't hurt though. Flip the switch people.

*EDIT* Forgot this has already passed for a lot of you guys. So I reckon the question there changes to: Did anyone in the time zones ahead of us go for it?

It was pretty big here last year... but this year it felt like the hype has died down and it wasnt heard about it as often as last year..

LOL jk. I still remember when The Chasers rocked up to the environmental person's (forgot the name.. but some politician that encouraged earth our) house and found that all the lights were still on LMAO.
