Well that actually works quite well. With Google I found proxy server lists that were updated every 15 min. Most of them seem to work, and you only need the proxy for a minute to log in so it doesn't matter if it's stable or not.
However, if you have to do this every time you want to log in, it might become irritating after a while. Also, if more IP ranges are blocked, you gonna have to be able to filter out only servers in US/Mex/Canada.
I'm now looking into lightweight SOCKS proxies that run on windows systems. Then, I only have to find some sweet americans who want to install it on their systems
