Immune has reverse effect?
i finally caved and bought the Immune spell hoping that this would help stave off irritating status effects such as slow travel and slow attack, but it seems to have just the opposite effect..... i swear that i'm getting hit more often with these, the same goes for my party.... never cared about poison since i got cure, but not having a mage around to dispel slow status really sucks. clerics really should be able to cure all status effects IMO.
anyway, anyone else have a similar experience using Immune?

The attacks you mentioned are curse effects, they are cured by mages. Immune stops Illness and Diesese, which are things like poison and bleed.

Immune does not stop bleeding or poison. It merely increases resistance.

so in other words, since i already have Cure and am able to remove the effects of poison, the Immune spell is pretty much worthless (other than helping to *prevent* bleeding)?
i was reading through Tequila's Cleric Guide on the FiestaWiki and the comments there made it sound as if this was worth having.....

Immune
Immune: gotta love it, but I think it should be a bit more effective since even with it on I've been targeted with
some pretty annoying curses, like Fear and Slow.SMH I'm not really sure though this a skill that I want to test
a bit farther. No need for Empowerment here either

Teq hasn't been around much, and that information is from CB1.
Therefore, on a technicality...yes, it's useless.
But if you think about it, the extra protection may save you more SP, if you want to look at it optimistically. Less debuffs = less casts of Cure.

Useful.
Would you say the defense from protect is useless because we can heal any dealt damage anyway? o_o

I too bought that skill in hopes of removing the "slow" spell. Damn that spell is annoying.

also don't care for the fact that i have to cast it individually on each member of the party, at nearly 100sp a pop..... but anyways, what's done is done..... i have it. i cast it. i pray it actually does something. but yeah a "miss poison" indicator would atleast make me feel a bit better about it. :P

I just noticed I turned into an ugly chicken in your sig. >:
Yeah, I don't really like Immune, it only has the good looks. But I cast it anyway to make myself look useful. Besides, at lower levels you can't cure all poisons since you don't have the second cure skill... so I guess it's -kind of- useful if you think about it that way.
