Don't jump

My first attempt at poetry. Could be a faliure but at least, I tried. lol
I was listening to the song "Don't jump" by Tokio Hotel and had this vivid image that compelled me to draw it out in words.

Scene: on top of the roof
--------------------------

Winds of memory.
Kiss from yesterday.
Our breaths were sewn together
Our lips were sealed forever.
The night that was fate.

Then
the night that came too late.
Your body lay
there in my arms,
wet with my own tears.
Guns echoed through the alleyway.
A life of crime ended that day.

This same hour
a month from then,
I step towards the moon
to catch the glimmers of your hand.
My feet lift from this ground
of the world so broken,
to find the peace never spoken
and the soul that was my lost half.

With the wind I ride,
in your love that I confide.
Out of this darkness,
I will see the light
of
you and me.

Together, we shall be.

10/10 I like it and it gives alot of imagry which helps tell the story of the poem.
Lol if thats your first attempt.. you did amazingly ^.^ I hope you write more~
