Making a new fighter, got a few questions.

Well I'm making a fighter because cleric just isn't cutting it for me with only 2 attacks and archer is way to underpowered for me. I love to solo, but I would also like the ability to tank in parties so I'm not useless so I won't go pure STR (MD for example). I think I'll probably go axe or 2h? So what would be better, 2:1 END:STR, 2:1 END:SPR, or 2:1 STR:END? I'm not sure. I also have like no clue what a solo/party fighter would do for empowerments...

It's good to do a search there has been many, many questions about this. You can also take a look at the fighter guide in my sig as well as other ones on the forums. If you'd like to be able to solo and be ablet to tank go with a 50 END rest STR build. Or if you have a lot of money to spare you can go full STR and have 'godly' END gear that's enhanced... that's up to you.

Either way a basic for a Fighter who party is Mock, Snearing Kick, and Devastate. Those are the 3 'key' skills they should have to be able to party and solo. Cooldown on Mock and Snearing Kick; duration, cooldown, damage, and possibly sp consumption on Devastate.

Now do you think you'll be partying or soloing more? If you plan to solo a lot then have an Axe with full empowerment on damage/cooldown on Power Hit and Precise Strike. If you're a party-goer you can opt for damage/cooldown on Slice'n'Dice and Accurate Strike.

Thanks Loveless, I think that I know which stat build I will go with now. Still wondering though about empowerments it takes 20 skill points for deva, how many points would we put into other skills?

5 into Mock cooldown first.
Save for Devastate at 43 I think you'll have at least 10-15 points by then.
Then depending on which weapon you will use more go to empower those main skills (ie. Power Hit if you're 2h user)

gain, with the still points, either max STR on Power Hit or Slice and Dice. Then save up so you can MAX OUT Cool Time, Stun Time, and Power. that is definitively a must. Ignore what other people say about not enhancing Devastate. and then Enhance Cool Down on Mock.

DEX Fighter has been tried. Pretty much meh with a mediocre dodge-rate until mid-game where it's unnoticable.

Even Archers who go full-DEX and get most benefit are pretty mediocre in comparison to other builds.

Senyx The Soulless one is an unknown quantity at this point
Go with the axe if you want damage, Go with the sword for a predictable damage rate that clerics can deal with, Axes have a slower att. rate, But sure enough, They hit harder, And 2-h swords have a bit faster but are neither weaker then a 1-h or stronger theb the axe. So it's a happy (And usually cool looking) Medium.
