question about open beta

ok im sorry if this is a noob ? but well i am sorta noob to the game so here it goes....when open beta ends do we all lose everything or am im just being dumb

P.S. if i am being dumb you all have permission to dish out some noob jokes or such being the fact that i will deserve it lol

We have been told that we will not be reset upon going to full release. Only time will really tell, though.

Lotsa ppl will jump up and down if they do a wipe especially now that they've released the cash shop~

And now I'm a bit fuzzy about what "beta" means... beta means test right? I thought as soon as they opened up their commercial side of the game (Cash Shop) it's no longer "beta"?
