Thanks Yos for the banner!
Wow, the forum is a year old already! Time sure flies when you're having fun on FiestaFan. We would like to thank all the old members who had stayed with us for the past year, as well as the newer members who helped this special community grow!
Back in the old days...
Keetos had created this forum on 18 June, 2007. Within one week, 100 members had joined FiestaFan. All the new members gathered together excitedly, scraping the few pieces of information from various sites about the new game, Fiesta Online.
Back in the day, everyone sat at their computer and stared at Outspark's site, wishing Closed Beta had started already. We all talked about
what classes we were going to be, wondering
which class would be the most popular, and
who had received the CB key and who had not.
After lots of waiting and anticipation, Closed Beta 1 finally started! The people with the CB key rushed to download and play the game, while poor members without CB key only got to watch.
Funnily enough,
some of us were able to get in to have a taste of it for a short while (even though we didn't have the key!). Though that was short lived, it was still better than nothing.
Everyone came back to FiestaFan to discuss the things we liked and disliked about the game. The
community and censoring system, the impossible
Mara KQ and
Robo KQ, the
ultimate crazy boss monsters (a stonie), and the
awesome +7 level 15 sword!
FiestaWiki
So the two CB's came and went, and OB had started. Everyone got to play, no one was left crying in the corner without a key to play anymore. FiestaFan slowly grew, and so did our famous
FiestaWiki.
Triumph and
Icy had given a lot of effort into this, as well as all the other members who had contributed. FiestaWiki is a big part of FiestaFan, something that almost everyone here have referred to at least once in their Fiesta life. It is like an encyclopedia, an important source of information when we're lost.
Arcade
We have our source of information, and now we have our source of entertainment! Who would have thought the Arcade would become so popular? Tournaments were created
back in the day, and even more are created now. We've all had our times when we needed a break from Fiesta, or when Fiesta was down. Our answer to our boredom would be the arcade, where everyone guided each other through certain arcade games
, or made new arcade enemies in tournaments (just kidding!).
Many of us wouldn't be able to kill time so easily if it wasn't for the arcade.
Mountain of Spam
But what about those who didn't play the arcade often? Of course!
MoS -
the most popular forum according to FiestaFan statistics (true story!)! Predictably, the most replied and most viewed thread to this date are also in MoS. Any guesses? Yeah, the infamous
"Thread.", frequently posted by
A_Forever and
Valentines, as well as random posts from other FiestaFanians here and there, is the
thread with the most replies on the forum!
"The Ultimate Picture Thread" is
the most viewed thread. Hm, seems like we've got some stalkers on FiestaFan! (Kidding, xD).
Fiesta Moderators
Of course, without the help of our moderators, we wouldn't have been able to bring FiestaFan up to the way it is now. Though FiestaFan may still be a relatively "small" forum, we are a pretty tight-knit community compared to many other fansites out there. Thanks to
Spirit,
Yosei and our relatively new mod,
Loveless, we were able to create events and such for the FiestaFan members.
Our first small gathering event took place in Forest of Tides, where we had a little Fiesta Quiz and Ore Gathering contest. Our first event winners, including
BlackDragonEX,
Hessah,
KYJelly,
lvramire,
Odin,
Renin,
Yosei and
Zotius, were proud to win their little amount of silvers.
Our second event was held by
Yosei, a
New Year's party! We all gathered once again, dancing, warring, jumping into a glitched hole, chatting, and just celebrating New Year's Day for different time zones.
Our third event was
Valentine's Day event, where FiestaFanians were able to give petals to the ones they admire. Two of our members,
Hessah and
iDerrick were recognised to be the most admired ones. Seeing various member's amused, happy and surprised reaction was a great experience for us, the cupids who delivered the flowers and secret messages.
Last of all, we had the
signature contest where our
Lady-Loki designed a cool animated signature for FiestaFanians to use on other forums to promote this site!
Of course, how can we let FiestaFan's Anniversary get away without events? be sure to check the FiestaFan Announcements section to look for the new events we have planned for you in the next couple of days!
