Jemcrystal is on a distinguished road
Does a cleric have to form a pt w/ the buff beggers?

In Elderine there is a constant stream of buff beggers at storage. Wondering, are they asking for a buff(s) that require the cleric to get in pt with them? What buff are they asking for anyway? Something specific or they just looking for a handout buff? Can a low lvl cleric buff them or is something only a high lvl can dish out?

They're most likely asking for Endure, a buff that increases your HP and SP for an hour and can be cast outside of party. Clerics may feel that they only truly become Clerics when they reach level 47 and are able to give this buff. They may even go around for hours randomly-buffing strangers. *cough*

Other alternative is Immune, one-hour buff that increases resistance to poison and disease. Much less likely to be the buff they're hoping for, but it's welcome nonetheless.

Endure has two meaning. The first was described above, the other is the poor cleric that must endure the constant barrage of requests.

In Elderine they ask for Endure, and no, Endure does not require the cleric to join their party. Rest is beautifully explained by Ivra

For party buff, they increase dmg, m.dmg, def and m.def, as said above. But they cant "give it" to you, they probably wont be following you around to fight monsters. They usually only ask for it when the cleric is in the party.
